We All Got Played When Claudine Gay was Forced to Resign

Out in the real world where money matters and dark money dominates, foreign nations have plowed billions of dollars into American Universities like Harvard, M.I.T., and the University of Pennsylvania. A quick browse of the Department of Education’s database that tracks foreign money in universities reveals an eye-popping reality: our universities have quietly become beholden to the interests of foreigners above the wants and desires of native-born Americans, of any race, gender, or religion. For years conservatives warned of foreign influence in our universities, especially China’s main organ of influence in universities- Confucius Institutes. Citizens United, and the weaponization of the information space have added an external dark money mechanism nations like China use to leverage their on-campus activities. This means everything we think we know about the Claudine Gay saga is probably a distraction from the real issue: foreign interests had a heavy hand in forcing her resignation.
