GOP Rep Who Attacked Dem Cori Bush Now Under Ethics Probe
By Thomas Anderson
Earlier this year GOP Congressman Troy Nehls from Texas ripped into fellow member of Congress Democrat Cori Bush in an attack that Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called shameful. Nehls now finds himself under the microscope as a GOP-led Ethics Committee opened a probe into the Congressman from Texas.
According to several reports, GOP Congressman Troy Nehls is under a House Ethics probe related to financial reporting requirements. Like all members of Congress Rep Nehls must provide a yearly financial disclosure form detailing all of his assets and liabilities as well as any gifts or positions within non-profit organizations. I recently filed an ethics complaint with the OCE on GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik related to assets and liabilities she didn’t disclose related to a luxury rental condo she owns through an LLC in the DC area. Like Stefanik Rep. Nehls appears to have failed to properly disclose information on a rental property he owns.
