A Letter to the Brave Souls of the Digital Age
Jacksonville shooting is another dark chapter in our fight for civil rights

Dear Brave Souls of the Digital Age,
As I pen this letter, I am reminded of the battles we fought in the past, the hurdles we crossed, and the victories we celebrated. The journey was long and arduous, but we carried on, fueled by the hope of a brighter, more equitable future. Today, I write to you, the guardians of the digital realm, to share the lessons we learned from the struggle for civil rights and the potential for collective action to forge a path towards justice.
In the wake of the tragic events at a Jacksonville Dollar General store, where a white supremacist, armed with hatred and a weapon adorned with swastikas, took the lives of three innocent Black individuals, we are reminded that the battle against racism is far from over. In a world where the digital sphere wields unparalleled influence over our thoughts and actions, it is crucial to ask: are the civil rights activists of today planning social media boycotts akin to the collective action of the Montgomery Bus Boycott?
